FACILITATION

Are you experiencing an issue or involved in a conflict that you think a restorative approach might help with?

A restorative session with an experienced facilitator can help address conflicts in a wide variety and complexity of situations, from neighbourhood issues, interpersonal conflicts and organisational disputes. Restorative approaches can both prevent conflict from escalating and resolve it when difficulties occur. A primary focus of restorative facilitation is dealing with the aftermath of wrongdoing and victimisation by exploring the causes of the wrongdoing and the impact on those harmed. Restorative mediation is also used to engage in community, organisational and family situations in order to build relationships and engagement to minimise conflict. We can recommend a number of trained restorative facilitators who can run restorative processes tailored to your needs and issues. For a recommendation of facilitators in your area, please email us.

“Victims of crime or those who have experienced wrong–doing can suffer greatly and they deserve to have their need for healing and re-empowerment met. Likewise in conflict situations people and their relationships can suffer. Restorative Practice Mediation offers a real opportunity to address harm caused, repair damaged relationships and build healthy engagement”. - Vera Hogan, MII RP Mediation Sector Rep
