Training & AWARENESS Raising

One key objective of the Restorative Practices Project is to build the capacity of  individuals and organisations working in services for children, young people and families in Moyross/Ballynanty and Southill  through quality Restorative Practices training.  We do this through a team of local trainers who work and use restorative practices in local services and who  have been accredited to train people . For more about our trainers please read here.

Core Trainings

One of the the project’s  model's of training is the International Institute of Restorative Practices  (IIRP) Europe. We provide the following IIRP accredited training:

  1. Introduction to Restorative Practices
  2. Restorative Practices and Conferencing Skills
  3. Effective Use of Circles

Bespoke Training

In addition the project can provide a level of bespoke training, which meets organisations specific needs. Examples of previous bespoke training and facilitation include The Factory Youthspace - "Becoming a Restorative Centre", Barnardos Homemake Family Support Service - "Conflict Resolution"
